Return Policy & Warranty
At Hikstik, we stand behind the quality of our wooden lacrosse shafts, which is why we are offering the longest warranty in the wooden lacrosse space. Every one of our shafts are made from real wood, carefully inspected before shipment, and built for regular play, training, and checking.
Because wooden shafts are natural materials and lacrosse is a physical sport, our return and warranty policy is designed to protect customers from true product defects while also being fair about normal gameplay damage.
1-Year Warranty for Wood Defects
Hikstik shafts include a 1-year warranty against defects in the wood or craftsmanship.
If your shaft develops a crack, split, or structural issue because of a wood defect, we will replace the shaft.
What’s Covered
Our 1-year warranty covers cracks or splitting caused by a defect in the wood.
What’s Not Covered
Because lacrosse is a contact sport, no wooden shaft is indestructible. Damage caused by excessive force, abnormal impact, misuse, or intentional abuse is not covered.
This includes breakage from:
- Extreme checks or impacts beyond normal gameplay
- Slashing, throwing, or intentionally striking the shaft against hard surfaces
- Improper handling, storage, or installation (including incorrectly attaching the head, see how to properly attach your lacrosse head here)
- Any damage caused by force rather than a defect in the wood
- Dings, dents, scratches, chipping, or cosmetic damage.
Our shafts are built to withstand regular play, but like all wooden equipment, they can break under enough force.
Custom Orders
Custom shafts, including engraved or personalized shafts, are made specifically for you and cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged unless there is a qualifying defect covered under our 1-year warranty (see above).
If your custom shaft breaks because of a wood defect, we will review the claim just like any other warranty request. If the break was caused by excessive force, impact, or misuse, it will not qualify for replacement.
30-Day Returns for Non-Custom Orders
If you receive a non-custom shaft and decide it is not the right fit, you may return or exchange it within 30 days of delivery, as long as the shaft is:
- Unused
- Undamaged
- Non-custom
- In returnable condition
Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect.
Damages, Defects, or Incorrect Orders
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us right away at hikstiksales@gmail.com so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
To submit a warranty claim, email hikstiksales@gmail.com with:
- A clear photo of the damaged shaft
- A description of what happened
- Your order number or the name used on the order
Once we've received your claim, our team will promptly review your submission and, if approved, we'll send you a replacement shaft.
Natural Wood Variation & Straightness Tolerance
Each Hikstik shaft is made from real wood, not synthetic material. Because of this, slight variations in grain, color, weight, flex, and straightness are natural and expected, especially in longer shafts.
All shafts are inspected before shipment and must fall within our straightness tolerance: up to 1/4 inch for 30-inch shafts and up to 1/2 inch for 60-inch shafts. Shafts within this range are considered standard, fully playable, and not defective.
A minor warp within this tolerance does not affect performance and is a normal characteristic of wooden equipment.
