At Hikstik, we stand behind the quality of our wooden lacrosse shafts, which is why our shafts include a 30-day return and refund process for eligible, non-custom orders and our 1-year wood-defect warranty. Every one of our shafts is made from real wood, carefully inspected before shipment, and built for regular play and training. 

Because wood is a natural material and lacrosse is a physical sport, our return and warranty policy is designed to protect customers from true product defects while distinguishing those defects from normal wear or gameplay damage. 

30-Day Returns 

If you receive a non-custom item and decide it is not the right fit, you may request a return or exchange within 30 days of delivery, as long as the item is unused, undamaged, non-custom, and in returnable condition. 

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect. 

Please contact us before sending a return so we can provide return instructions. Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.

Custom Orders 

Custom shafts, including engraved or personalized shafts, are made specifically for you and cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged unless there is a qualifying defect covered under our 1-year warranty. 

Warranty claims for custom shafts are evaluated under the same warranty standards described below. 

Refunds 

Once your approved return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you whether the refund has been approved. If approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card provider to process and post the refund.

Original shipping charges, if any, are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error by Hikstik or the item arrived damaged or defective.

Damages, Defects, or Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us right away at hikstiksales@gmail.com so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Warranty Policy

1-Year Warranty for Wood Defects

Hikstik shafts include a 1-year warranty against defects in the wood. If your shaft develops a crack, split, or structural issue because of a wood defect, we will replace the shaft. 

What’s Covered

Our 1-year warranty covers cracks or splitting caused by a defect in the wood. 

What’s Not Covered

Because lacrosse is a contact sport, no wooden shaft is indestructible. Damage caused by excessive force, abnormal impact, misuse, neglect, intentional abuse, improper care, or normal wear and tear is not covered.

This includes breakage from: 

• Extreme checks or impacts beyond normal gameplay
• Slashing, throwing, or intentionally striking the shaft against hard surfaces
• Improper handling, storage, or installation (including incorrectly attaching the head, see how to properly attach your lacrosse head here) 
• Warping that develops over time from use, storage conditions, moisture, temperature changes, or other environmental factors
• Normal wear and cosmetic damage, including dings, dents, scratches, surface chipping, and finish wear 
  
• Any damage caused by force rather than a defect in the wood 
  

Our shafts are built for regular lacrosse use, but like all wooden equipment, they can break or change over time when exposed to enough force or changing environmental conditions. 

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim, email hikstiksales@gmail.com with:

• A clear photo of the damaged shaft
• A description of what happened
• Your order number or the name used on the order

Once we've received your claim, our team will promptly review your submission and, if approved, we'll send you a replacement shaft.

To evaluate a warranty claim, Hikstik may request additional photos, videos, order information, or return of the damaged shaft. Do not discard the shaft until your claim has been fully reviewed and resolved. Additional photos or videos may need to show the complete shaft, the damaged area, and other identifying details so we can verify the product and determine the cause of the issue.

Warranty replacements may be withheld until requested verification is completed. 

Natural Wood Variation & Straightness Tolerance

Each Hikstik shaft is made from real wood, not synthetic material. Because of this, slight variations in grain, color, weight, flex, and straightness are natural and expected, especially in longer shafts.

A minor variation in straightness within these tolerances is considered normal for wooden equipment and is not considered a defect.
