How to Attach a Lacrosse Head to a Wooden Shaft in 4 Simple Steps

Follow these simple steps to ensure a secure and snug fit for optimal performance on the field.

Step 1: Insert the Shaft

Begin by sliding the Hikstik shaft into the throat of your lacrosse head.

  • If the fit is snug, apply firm pressure to push the shaft fully into place.
  • If the fit is loose, wrap electrical tape around the top two inches of the shaft to create a tighter fit.

Step 2: Drill a Pilot Hole

With the shaft attached to the lacrosse head, use a 1/8" drill bit to create a 1/2" deep pilot hole. Align the drill bit with the screw hole on the lacrosse head and drill into the wooden shaft.

Step 3: Clean Up

Remove any wood chippings and debris from the pilot hole to ensure a clean and secure attachment.

Step 4: Insert the Screw

Insert the screw into the pilot hole and tighten it until secure. Be careful not to overtighten, as this can loosen the screw's hold on the wood.

And that's it! Enjoy your newly assembled lacrosse stick and get ready to hit the field with confidence.

Happy playing! 🥍
